frequently asked questions HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE? two words, photo ninjas ;) in all seriousness, we try to be as unobtrusive as possible on your wedding day so that you get to enjoy every possible moment with your closest family and friends. HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT RECEIVE? we do not cap the number of photos we make on a wedding day, nor do we cap what you will receive as a final product. that said, we estimate 100 images per hour of coverage with two photographers and 75 images per hour of coverage with one photographer. WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE? we like to think that pots and pans don’t make the chef, but for those interested we use canon 5D mark III cameras and professional L-series lenses. each of us carries two cameras on the wedding day, and we have a third back-up in case of emergency. DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? we sure do! locations outside of the charleston area may be subject to a travel fee to cover our expenses, so just let us know what the destination will be and we can provide you with an estimate. HOW LONG IS THE COVERAGE FOR A TYPICAL WEDDING DAY? our average coverage time is usually around seven to eight hours, but we do everything from intimate four hour beach weddings to full-day shoots beginning with tee times and spa treatments. we are always happy to help you structure your timeline in a way that gets the most from your coverage. EXPLAIN YOUR EDITING PROCESS. we compose, evaluate lighting and calculate our exposure in the camera while we shoot. afterward, we make slight adjustments for color and brightness as needed, and if you happen to have a blemish on the wedding day (you won’t!) we will take care of that too. more extensive retouching is available for an additional charge. all images are captured as digital RAW files, which creates the option to tone in either color or black and white. DO YOU BACK UP YOUR FILES? good question! in this day and age where all of your images are just 1s and 0s on a disc, file back-ups are extremely important. as soon as we get back from your wedding, we dump all the files on two separate hard drives and one drive goes into a fireproof safe until we are finished with the editing process. we also utilize cloud storage for your photos, and archive a set of the final images on our own hard drives off site as well.
